I have five tanks, mostly automated by computer via X10. The largest, a 46G, has a custom-built dimmable T5HO hood.
Have been studying microcontrollers and electronics whenever I can. My ultimate goal is to eventually replace the X10 with MCUs, which will allow greater automation. But unlike most projects where the controllers are self-contained, I want to keep the central computer control, and communicate with the aquariums via a wireless mesh network. Have done experiments with much of the basic framework, but I still have a long way to go!
Would also like to build some LED fixtures, experiment with remote phosphors, monitor filter clogging via current draw, and more.
Mistergreen has done some serious trailblazing with his DIY PAR and CO2 measurement. Not to mention this forum. I think it will be a great success.Statistics: Posted by Darkcobra — Mon Jan 14, 2013 8:39 pm
